Art has the remarkable ability to promote wellness and to heal wounded spirits. Why art aids in healing is based on the fact that it is inspiring to create. As humans we all have that inner passion to fill any voids in our minds and hearts. Making art has the potential to fulfill that need. When we become involved in creating and allowing our inner most being get immersed in the wonderful world that art brings into existence, we feel often encouraged and gratified. Art is fun! I would like to explore with you "art forms", what they are, how they help make the vast arena of art into categories. Each category serves a different purpose, is carried out and created differently, and heals various target areas that relate to that art form's nature. This comment I hope will help you, especially if you are struggling with any type of illness. Art forms will be addressed in detail in the next post! Hello! I have been very busy with my Etsy shop, making inventory of artul creations to sell. I hope all of you reading this now are finding days of joy and gratitude! The last post focused on how art cna be connected to healing. We touched on art forms and the healing process. I would like to share some of the different art forms, how they differ, how they can each play a role in aiding someone who is ill feel better, even healed! Making an art journal certainly is a wonderful example of a therapeutic art form! I encourage everyone reading this to have a art journal and make entries every day! An interesting side note; art journals house a variety of art forms. How is that? They are made of works of art via drawing, painting, collage, wax art, doodles, pa sels, and many others! What type of art form you choose to use in your art journal depends on the what you are drawn to . Attraction to some types of art forms over others that are less appealing is normal and it also reveals what you might be needing at any particular time. For example, someone who is feeling despondent and down might be drawn to watercolors as this type of painting requires the use and knowledge of color. lots of color in fact. Color and the type of color palette put together by the person painting fufills a need. Color by itself and what part of the color wheel you are drawn to use painting is significant. This is a short intro to art forms. There are many others to explore so hold tight until the next time we meet for storybook. I must confess after writing tonight is for relaxing.
